The Paisley Pirates delivered a commanding performance on home ice, securing a 4-1 victory over the Kirkcaldy Kestrels in front of an energetic crowd at Braehead Arena.
From the opening face-off, the Pirates set the tone with determination, teamwork, and a level of intensity that proved too much for their opponents.
Chris Wilson led the charge with two crucial goals, while Gary Parker and Marcus Murdoch added to the tally, ensuring a well-earned victory over a strong Kirkcaldy side. The Pirates displayed excellent chemistry throughout the game, moving the puck well and capitalising on their scoring opportunities.
Defensively, the team held firm, with goaltender Callum Donaghy making a series of key saves to keep the Kestrels at bay. His composure between the pipes ensured that the visitors struggled to find a way back into the game. His efforts, alongside a solid defensive unit, played a crucial role in limiting Kirkcaldy to just one goal.
A standout performance came from Man of the Match, Olly King, who impressed with his relentless energy, strong positioning, and key contributions on both ends of the ice. His work rate and composure made him an invaluable asset in securing the Pirates’ victory.
