It was a challenging evening for the Paisley Pirates as they faced off against the Aberdeen Lynx, coming away with a 9-4 defeat. A slow start proved costly, as the Lynx came out strong, leaving us with an uphill battle from the first period. Despite a better second-period performance, the damage was already done, and Aberdeen continued to capitalise while keeping our offensive efforts at bay.

A big shoutout to our goal scorers on the night: Chris Turley, Calum Blair, Magnus Wrottesley, and Gary Parker, who found the back of the net. Special mention goes to Magnus Wrottesley, who made an immediate impact in his first-ever game with the Pirates, scoring a goal and picking up an assist—an impressive debut performance! 💪🔥

Our Man of the Match for the night was Callum Donaghy, who put in a solid shift despite the tough scoreline. While we missed some key players, credit goes to Aberdeen Lynx for a strong performance and a well-fought game.

A massive thank you to our travelling fans who made the journey to Aberdeen—we appreciate your continued support. And, as always, thanks to the Lynx and their fans for the warm welcome.

We now turn our focus to next Sunday, as we return home to Braehead Arena to face the Kirkcaldy Kestrels. Tickets are already on sale (check our previous post for the link), and we’ll be reposting all game details at the start of the week. Let’s pack the arena and get back to winning ways!
