Paisley Pirates fans have a powerful new way to help support the club’s future thanks to the Support Sport Lottery — with all proceeds going directly to the Pirates’ development programme. And guiding much of that work is Marie Cadenhead, Chair of the Paisley Pirates Supporters Club, whose leadership is helping rally the community together.
For just £1 per ticket, fans can enter the weekly draw with a chance to win a £25,000 jackpot. What makes this more than just a lottery is that 60p of every £1 goes back into sport — 50p comes straight to the club, and the rest contributes to wider causes that support sports locally.
At the moment, the Supporters Club is working toward a goal of 50 tickets, and has already raised about £598 of a target £1,300. That money is earmarked entirely for the club’s development programme, ensuring that youth players, training, and grassroots growth are well supported.
“This gives everyone a way to contribute, no matter how small,” says Marie Cadenhead. “It’s about creating sustainable support to keep ice hockey strong in Paisley.”
If you’re interested in helping, signing up is simple. Entering costs only £1, and the impact is real. You’ll be helping fund ice time, training equipment, youth coaching, trips, and more — areas that can make a big difference in keeping the club growing.
So spread the word, invite others to join the lottery, and help the Pirates reach those goals. Together, the community can make sure this proud club continues thriving — on and off the ice.
Players must be 18 or over and physically located in Great Britain.
