As mentioned on today’s episode of the Paisley Pirates Podcast, we’re thrilled to announce something a little bit different… and a whole lot exciting. On Saturday, August 30th, at The Wynd Centre, Paisley, we’re stepping out from behind the mic and onto the stage for the first ever live recording of the podcast, and you, the fans, are at the heart of it.

It’s more than just a podcast taping, this is a night of stories, celebration, and a bit of organised chaos. It’s a love letter to the team, the town, and the people who’ve supported this club through thick and thin. The show will bring together members of the 1997 Scottish Cup-winning squad, one of the most iconic teams in Pirates history, for a live panel discussion you won’t want to miss.
We’re still fine-tuning the final details, this is new territory, after all, but we can promise an evening packed with nostalgia, banter, and a few surprises. The show will be recorded and later released across Spotify, YouTube, Audible, Castbox, and Amazon Music, so whether you're in the room or tuning in from afar, you’ll be part of the experience.
To top it off, there’ll be a limited edition merch drop, exclusive to the event, and a raffle with some brilliant prizes including:
A one-off event jersey with signed poster
An A1-sized, signed event poster
And even a signed stick
The venue holds 200 — once they’re gone, they’re gone. We’re hoping to do more events like this in the future, but with the upcoming game schedule still to drop, this may be the only chance to catch us live this year.
As host of the podcast, I can honestly say this all started from a throwaway question during our very first recording: “Who would be your dream guests?” Ian Turley and Rab Henderson began rattling off names from the ’97 squad… and I just said, “Let’s do it live.” Now here we are, venue booked, tickets live, and a night in Paisley waiting to happen.
So grab your mates, your scarves, and your best Pirates gear. This one’s for the fans, past, present, and future.
