The Paisley Pirates delivered a commanding performance on home ice Sunday night, dismantling Kilmarnock Thunder in an 11-1 rout at Braehead Arena. It was a night to remember for the Pirates, with a dominant display of teamwork, clinical finishing, and standout performances from both experienced players and rising young stars.

Gary Parker led the scoring charge with two goals, while Jay Herd, Olly King (2), Alex Lane, Marcus Murdoch, Fraser Kerr, Cameron Millar, Zack Docherty, and Calum Blair all found the back of the net. The Pirates' relentless attack overwhelmed Kilmarnock from the outset, showcasing their depth and ability to share the scoring across the team.

It was a particularly special night for Jay Herd, Cameron Millar, and Zack Docherty, who each netted their first-ever goals for the Pirates. At just 15 years old, Docherty’s milestone goal was a testament to the club’s commitment to developing young talent—one that will no doubt be the first of many in his career.

Beyond the high-scoring offense, the young players stood out for their determination, energy, and teamwork, seamlessly working alongside their senior teammates to produce an outstanding team effort. The chemistry on the ice was evident, with the Pirates executing plays with precision and confidence.

Man of the Match honours went to Gary Parker, whose two-goal, one-assist performance helped drive the Pirates' offensive dominance. Parker’s experience and leadership were on full display as he guided the team to one of their most emphatic victories of the season.

With another two points secured, the Pirates now turn their attention to their away fixture against the Edinburgh Capitals next weekend. It promises to be another exciting challenge as they look to carry this momentum forward. Full game details will be posted early in the week.

A huge thank you to all the fans who came out to support the team tonight. Safe journey home, and we’ll see you all next time as we continue the push for more success on the ice!
